Account Manager – Payments & Card Processing Solutions – Surrey / Hampshire border , M3 corridor

Are you a Client Manager or Account Manager with 3 or more years experience in a Technology or Services related organisation selling into Insurance or other Financial Services client accounts? Our client provides payment and loyalty technology solutions for the UK and Ireland. Many large organisations depend on their payment solutions, loyalty schemes and expert consulting services. Their customers process in excess of 2.5 billion retail payment transactions a year which is equivalent to over 35 of the total UK market.

We are searching for candidates with experience of selling technology solutions into Banks or Insurance companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for 15 to 30 existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients in the Financial Services sector, up-selling, cross-selling and ensuring renewal of contracts as well as a high level of service. The role will involve regular nationwide travel in the order of 2 to 3 days per week.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Regularly engaging with existing clients to identify new revenue opportunities
  • Protecting existing clients from competitive threat through providing high levels of service and ensuring clients sign up to long term commercial agreements
  • Maintaining client account plans
  • Being an expert in the sector, in terms of the market and competition, including keeping up to speed with latest technological developments

Our client will want to interview candidates who have:

  • At least 3 years relevant experience of managing financial sector accounts
  • Excellent sales negotiation skills
  • Experience of selling Technology Products and Services of significant contract value (Greater than £100k)
  • The ability to build relationships with client representatives across their business including at executive level
  • Experience working with partners in delivery of products and services
  • Excellent communication skills
